Ummo Letter 202

Sir, We have been following in recent weeks the inclusion in the magazine you direct of a series of articles regarding the civilization of our Planet UMMO. The text: as you know, is based on a series of documents that we have regularly sent to D. Fernando Sesma Manzano. An order from my superior leads me to express our cordial congratulations for the objectivity with which you have accepted statements of this nature. Indeed, one could have expected a logically skeptical attitude, a prudent censorship towards manifestations that a large number of people and readers consider apocryphal and aimed only at providing a pinch of sensationalism to individuals of little intellectual training but overflowing fantasy. However, this mental reserve has been sufficiently flexible to tolerate your publication, in which you demonstrate - we repeat - a high critical spirit and impartiality in unusual criteria. It matters little - as it has been insinuated in some postcripts - that you do not completely compare the viewpoints of Mr. Sesma, and we think in advance that both positions are imbued with rigorous logic. Ideas and information like those we are presenting to Mr. Sesma are initially so surprising to you that if they are not confirmed by a rich array of scientific evidence or guarantees, they can and should be interpreted as the work of a prankster, as delusional ideas of a paranoid mentality or at least a clever subterfuge by a journalist or unscrupulous advertiser. When a news breaks the normal framework of plausibility and lacks elements of judgment to measure and validate its reality, any balanced mind has the right to adopt a justified attitude of mistrust. We should never accept a mere testimony without the arguments that support it. And, if despite everything, such a claim were proven, it would be unfair to prejudge our position as being narrow-minded. But it is also possible to have the position of one who tolerates April 29, 2018, by the press at that time concerning the fact that other so-called vessels (or flying saucers as they are called), and of course these were not ours, were continuously arriving on Earth. From our perspective, that is, constituting ourselves as a living example of this reality, we could not easily accept the hypothesis—popular among terrestrial specialists and scientists—that these so-called luminous discs were simple sensory illusions (meteorites, weather balloons, atmospheric phenomena, refracted circular images, helicopters, pranks by certain inhabitants, psychological phenomena of collective suggestion, or mere hallucinations of disturbed minds), even if we share the opinion that a certain percentage of cases fall under this type of explanation. But we must confess that we were disappointed because we were unable to establish any contact with them on this Planet, despite the fairly rich range of experiences at our disposal. It is for this reason that our attention was drawn to the comments of Professor Sesma, even though there were unreliable elements. Assertions much more childish than scientific. Speculations in which Astrology, Magic, and the misinterpretation of symbols were mixed with other clues that strongly caught our attention. It was enough for us to clear away some of his stories and carry out a careful semantic study of his prose on the one hand, and on the other hand to conduct research concerning the psychology and identity of this gentleman, to arrive at the following conclusions: 1) In his stories, Mr. Sesma does not lie deliberately, even though his comments lack scientific critique and are also excessively naive. 2) The interference of one or more pranksters or ill-intentioned individuals was evident; they took advantage of the author's open attitude and used his early stories to add aberrant versions. 3) Despite these few negative factors, the reality of his contacts was plausible. It was reinforced by certain details which, while seeming secondary, could not have been the work of Sesma or the pranksters we have already mentioned. Given this situation and because at that date we had established cautious and sober relations with a few men of Science and contacted Cultural Entities of certain Countries (we do not hide the logical incredulity of some of them), we received formal instructions to begin contacts with the Spaniard Mr. Sesma Manzano. His initial reluctance confirmed our assumption that he was not an excessively credulous man, although we maintained the viewpoint retained as secondary. Except to bring him a series of proofs capable of overcoming his natural mistrust. Currently, my Superior in Spain maintains frequent telephone conversations with this gentleman and periodically dictates reports on the civilization of UMMO, using the mechanographic services of one of your faithful compatriots whom we will one day authorize to testify about his relations with us. Actually, the destiny of these reports will be directed towards the interested group of people that Mr. Sesma has been gathering and leading for some years. Although we reasonably fear that his initiative to reveal these documents to the public will not have the hoped-for results, we refrain from dampening his enthusiasm. We think that Mr. Sesma considers what we have to say as what you call "a jar of fresh water," but if you have the slightest suspicion that these revelations could cause an "impact" on the mass of readers or transpire (i.e., transcend) in a disoriented manner generating a collective psychosis with serious consequences, we would be obliged to curb this unlikely popular enthusiasm by our silence for the reasons that Mr. Sesma himself has been able to observe in our writings. 29/04/18 YU 1, daughter of AIM 368 to whom we are subject, sends you her warm greetings regarding all the elements of this UMMO advancement on EARTH. Thus I request your action. Written by DAA 3, son of EEYEA 502 by order of DEII 98, son of DEII 97.
