Letter Ummo 315

You have requested from us a series of reports on topics as heterogeneous as GRAVITATION, PARAPSYCHOLOGY, ASTRONOMY, PHOTOGRAPHY, and CHILD PSYCHOPEDAGOGY. This puts us in a real dilemma, considering that any specialized monograph in any of these very vast fields of Science, you can presume yourself, would require hundreds of pages and a great effort of synthesis. Our situation, on the other hand, is quite delicate since any unknown data from Earth must be pre-censored by our superior to whom we are subordinate. We must limit ourselves each time to summarizing in a schematic form certain concepts and descriptions; the diagrams and graphics must be drawn awkwardly so that the risk of analysis by presumed Earth specialists remains minimized. We can only provide you with mathematical information on physicochemical and biological sciences at a level accessible to you on topics which, although unknown to you, would not constitute a real revolution in the current state of terrestrial technology. Thus it is possible that we will soon send you a small mathematical study on negative gravitational fields (but not at a genuinely scientific popularization level). This work can be presented as unpublished to any terrestrial specialist but not to the point of transcendentally modifying the current evolution of science regarding - for example - the very desired by you General Theory of Unification of Fields. Our dilemma with you is therefore whether, in addition to some truly scientific work that we could deliver to you as proof of our intellectual level, you wish for our reports on these suggestive themes that you request to be written at a level of popularization such as the notes we have provided you on UULODOO devices (CAMERAS) or the reports that we periodically write at an even more superficial level for Mr. Fernando Sesma Manzano. You are only under obligation, unless otherwise instructed, to disclose them only by reading to your (only) believing friends (sic!). In any case, we repeat what our superior indicated in a telephone conversation in the Iberian Peninsula, DEII 98 son of DEII 97, of whom we are subordinates. Do not forget that this type of belief is regarded with suspicion and hostility within certain terrestrial social sectors. Such an attitude from skeptical individuals is justified in many cases. Supporting testimonies in favor of our identity, Mr. Garrido Buendia, can provoke reactions and very unpleasant attitudes in your social and even professional life. We therefore advise you not to insist on defending our reality in front of certain individuals. Even in extreme cases, we would find it very justified if you yourself deny the veracity of such contacts using the simple argument and trivial to label us as mere pranksters or mentally disturbed. On the other hand, you must be logical and understand that we cannot ask everyone on Earth to believe in claims that are based on a quick and unanalytical reading of texts that critical mentalities have identified with paragraphs from popular science fiction stories on Earth. Sending serious scientific studies will also not constitute definitive proof, as we have seen when they were submitted to specialists in other nations, since they can always be interpreted as brilliant concepts by other Earth scientists wishing to hide their identity under original humor by pretending to be ALIENS. You will have an example with AOXIBOO AGODAA plates, a synthetic product of ours in white and ash green, whose resemblance to earthly plastics is merely apparent. This substance offers great tensile strength. Mr. Sesma Manzano possesses a fragment from our landing in the village of Aluche near Madrid (February 6, 1966), which was sent to him by a friend. Moreover, this substance is unknown to you. Only certain governments that would come into possession of these plates would have them analyzed by their specialized departments, but of course, professors who would handle similar samples would limit themselves to commenting on the curiosity of the case and acknowledging their ignorance of the origin of this substance. The mere suggestion that it may originate from distant celestial bodies would fill them with joy. It is clear that one could sarcastically comment on such strange logic suggesting that: PERHAPS THE GROUP OF DEMENTED OR PRANKSTERS WHO, FOR EVERYONE, PRETEND TO BE INHABITANTS OF AN UNKNOWN PLANET, POSESS SPECIAL FACTORIES OF MYSTERIOUS SUBSTANCES SUPERIOR TO KNOWN PLASTICS, HAVE MYSTERIOUS TEAMS CAPABLE OF CONDUCTING MATHEMATICAL OR PHYSICAL RESEARCH JUST FOR THE PLEASURE OF ENTERTAINMENT. Furthermore, it is not worth exhausting your energies trying to convince the skeptics. On the contrary, if you succeeded, you would cause us serious harm because, in reality, we do not desire a belief attitude (Editor’s note: in our true identity) on a terrestrial or macrosocial scale. It is no secret to you that the few people who have had contact with us constitute a TEST group for our psychosocial studies of terrestrial humanity. In exchange for this service, we provide you with information because we believe that the mutual debt of gratitude that encompasses us must be settled equally for both parties. We invite you to abandon any attitude of hostility towards those who label us as mentally ill, adventurers, or fraud specialists. That would be uncharitable and would pit you against your brothers who act with undeniable good faith in refusing to credit such an extraordinary affair. We would like to inform you, Mr. Dionisio Garrido Buendia, that we will provide you with a series of notes on the topic: WHAT IS CERTAIN IN THE PARA-PSYCHOLOGICAL PHENOMENA RECORDED BY YOU? AND WHAT IS FRAUDULENT IN THEM? We will deliver a solid report on the gravitational field and some popular notes on how we use gravitational waves (WHICH NATURE DIFFERS FROM ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES) in the field of communications on UMMO. HOW DO WE VIEW THE EARTHLY PARAPSYCHOLOGY LANDSCAPE IN ITS CURRENT STATE?. First of all, we must warn you that the earthly topical concept of Parapsychology as such is unknown on UMMO. We will explain why. You categorize under the term parapsychological phenomena a whole series of observations regarding, for example, telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, ectoplasm, hypnotic suggestion, psychokinesis, etc., attempting to provide a scientific explanation for various news relating to haunted houses, the marvelous feats accomplished by the Brahmins of India, the photography of materializations carried out by spiritualists (former spiritists), or radiesthesia, among many other phenomena recorded by earthly civilization. Regarding these phenomena that are only recorded and analyzed without AUTHENTIC demonstration of their causes and the laws governing them, they cannot therefore be classified in the realm of PSYCHOLOGICAL phenomena, and we must still be cautious about their scientific reality. This is the reason why earthly psychologists refuse to accept a large part of these phenomena. There have been no shortage of scientists like Richet, Reichenbach, Crookes, Dr. Da Silva, who have tried to systematize, analyze, and weed out fraud from the true phenomena that until now had been pejoratively classified in occultist doctrines, magic, alchemy, demonology, etc., to incorporate them into the realm of scientific disciplines. On this specific point, there is no doubt: if you place a phenomenon in the category of parapsychology, it is because earthly scientists doubt its authenticity or at least are ignorant of its origin and laws; otherwise, it would automatically be classified within official Psychology Science. Such is the case with hypnosis, whose reality and causes were long doubted by earthly scientists before being fully accepted at the beginning of this earthly century. This does not mean that the other phenomena are fraudulent or unreal, but they are simply in a phase of critique and study. You have a good example of demonstration in another field of knowledge: what you call UFOs, OVNIs, or more vulgarly Flying Saucers or more concretely: this group of men from UMMO who are in contact with a few dozen earthly men. What position should earthly experts adopt in the face of our identity or in relation to the reality of these Cosmic vessels seen by thousands of witnesses? Logically, the first plausible reaction must be one of prudent skepticism, a prior incredulity. But this incredulity should not display immobilist traits, typical of individuals with low mental levels (low intelligence quotient) who DENY BY PRINCIPLE without trying to analyze, study, compare, and without conducting a SEVERE CRITIQUE with judgment criteria. One should not believe "a priori" a UNIQUE TESTIMONY until all possibilities of fraud have been ruled out. Thus, for example, it is not enough for a witness to assert they have seen a saucer, without having systematically ruled out the following hypotheses: - The witness is deliberately lying for fun, to gain economic benefit, or simply for megalomaniac reasons (to appear in the press, to be admired by friends, etc.) - The witness is not deliberately lying. They are a victim of a paranoid type delusion. They freely concoct stories for pathological motivations. - The witness, without suffering from any psychopathological disorder, or while suffering from one or under the influence of an abnormal psychogenic agent (drugs, gas, terror, etc.), falls under the effects of an optical illusion or a hallucination. - The witness attributes to certain technical, meteorological or physical elements in general the character of a mysterious spacecraft. For example: jet planes, weather balloons, autogyros, missiles, meteors, large birds, phenomena of particular turbulence, spherical rays (the latter being very rare). The scientist, rightly so, will demand more efficient evidence (COLLECTIVE TESTIMONIES), photographs (BY ANALYZING THE NEGATIVES TO DETECT FRAUD). By analyzing traces left by the presumed spacecraft (by measuring depth, dynamic loads, temperature, static pressures, etc...). One alone is not sufficient; all must be required simultaneously to verify their plausibility. Or, by referring to the presence of a group of extraterrestrials mixed with the beings of this planet, it would be unacceptable or childish for a specialist, or even a person of average intelligence, to accept our testimony solely based on receiving typewritten sheets or poorly made drawings, created with crude brushes or pencils from Earth. Only when these documents have an ideological, scientific, or technological useful content should the expert, or a person of high intellectual coefficient, have an ACTIVE DOUBT ATTITUDE. By accumulating new facts, demanding new evidence, and critically and methodically examining these unclear points whose agreement in the earthly scientific field is contradictory or suspicious: BY ANALYZING ALL DETAILS AND ESPECIALLY BY SYSTEMATICALLY EVALUATING THE WHOLE. We were able to take these very interesting examples for you at this moment for you to try to understand the HEALTHY attitude of skepticism of earthly scientists. If we, as representatives of an older and more advanced civilization, reproach you for a series of ills that disturb the social structure of this beautiful planet, WE CANNOT in return accuse Earth's intellectuals of adopting these severe postures of skepticism towards certain NON-EXHAUSTIVELY DEMONSTRATED phenomena. But, do you really think that without these mental barriers opposing the physicists, the biologists, the psychologists, and the mathematicians, among others, you would have reached this cultural level, however weak its spirituality may be? If, because of a popular version concerning a haunted house, the simple testimony of a "session" of spiritism, the account of an ancestor regarding a telepathic vision, the mysterious writings of so-called extraterrestrial beings, or the simple narration of witnesses who saw a little "chela" being lifted by an Indian "saddu," scientists hurried to grant them the nature of real phenomena, you can imagine the exuberance of impostors, delusional individuals, and mentally ill people who would want to be included in the History of Science. All this kind of verbiage would dull the slow but progressive advance of psychophysiology. Earth scientists are very burned by false mediums, hysterical individuals, countless visionaries who have populated your planet. It is true that this reticent, excessively distrustful attitude runs the risk of deprecating, minimizing, and leaving without analysis some truly worthy phenomena to be studied. That is why we invite you to never adopt dogmatic attitudes. NOR AN OVERLY CREDULOUS FANATIC ATTITUDE WHEN THERE IS A LACK OF EFFECTIVE EVIDENCE. NOR THE POSITION OF SYSTEMATIC UNBELIEF ADOPTED BY CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS OF LOW INTELLIGENCE LEVEL REFUSING TO CONDUCT AN ANALYSIS FREE OF PREJUDICES. Thus the objective and intelligent person should never be discouraged when after having verified several times that a medium is an impostor, they feel tempted to abandon the study. You have provided a wonderful example with the case of TELEPATHIC phenomena. For many years, the "Society for Psychical Research" in London collected thousands of facts, accounts, and analyses concerning telepathic clairvoyance obtained by people from different social backgrounds and professional training levels.
