I did not risk taking it and without touching it with my hand, I threw it into the river. But there are still some because if they had not removed this one, they had therefore not removed the others. I believe that at least, I know where two others are. In addition, I know where the balls fell, more or less one meter away, and I did not see them pick them up either, just as I also do not believe that the river carried them away. I think that by dredging the Rio it would be easy to find them.
I could tell you other things, Mrs. Araujo, since my wife and I got to know the one who was the leader of all theirs in this world and who came to Madrid precisely before they all left for Ummo in three flying saucers. All this seems fabulous, but it is real and the press even published it on June 2 of this year.

At this point, I cannot doubt that these gentlemen I have known, who have come to my home many times, who have dictated hundreds of pages that they sometimes even illustrated later, do indeed come from that planet they call Ummo. And I know many things about them. For example, I know that seventeen years ago they came to France for the first time and it is there that they learned the language and explained the whole story to others.
Moreover, not only I but also my wife witnessed astonishing things and I challenge any engineer to invent them. But now they have all gone back to their planet. If any remain, I do not think they are in Spain. Surely you will not believe this, even if they had spoken to you, but without having seen them, because all this sounds like a novel and it is normal to be wary. But all this is happening because, for the moment, I cannot reveal and clarify everything.
If they do not give any sign of life within a year or a year and a half, I believe I must present myself to the authorities and to you and other people so that among us all we can clarify a matter of such importance for Spain. And not only can I present witnesses but also one of their devices.
I also have many notes, car registrations, the name of a hotel where I know they stayed, the name of a merchant who knew them as Norwegian tourists, a boarding house where they lived for almost a week, their papers, inventions that can be patented, and an architect whom I discovered in the end knows they are from Ummo, and who even helped them although he cynically denied it (I can prove that he at least sent a package to Australia once).
I spoke with him and despite my promise of silence, he did not have the honesty to admit it. Who can tell me that I have not fulfilled what they demanded of me, but bear in mind that before leaving, they should have given me precise instructions and not left me with doubts. I do not believe I am harming them if they have truly left.
Be sure that if they were here I would be unable to do anything to harm them. The proof is that until now I have kept silent, as has my wife. Only two close people know this as well and no one else from our circle of acquaintances or old work colleagues.
Mrs. Araujo, I have some pages that I typed, dictated for you. You will forgive me for not having sent them to you, but their departure upset all of that. Then I went on two trips, and your papers are mixed without staples with others. I remember that biological things, which is your specialty, were being sent to you. They always knew each person’s specialty, and sent them things related to their corresponding specialty.
I hope I have not bored you with such a long letter; when I talk about them I get enthusiastic and do not know how to stop, and I could talk about this for whole days. Rightly so, it is said that reality sometimes surpasses fiction and cinema.
