Ummocat No. 140 (written by Darnaude): Explanations about the biological tissue analyzer device given to me by representatives of the "ummo" corporation. Published in ELG 83-91 (8 pages) and in UIV 23-34 (11 pages). See documents: D220, D420 to 424 Fragments published in document D 507 Note by Darnaude in English: Alleged letter sent in 1967 by Professor Dr. Antonio Gallego Fernandez, head of the Physiology Department at the Complutense University of Madrid. In this 8-page document, the distinguished Dr. Gallego claims that agents from a planet called "UMMO" handed him (through an "ummite" clerk) a strange and effective device for analyzing biological tissues. This bizarre event was published by Antonio Ribera in his article about the "UMMO" affair printed in the "Flying Saucer Review," London, Volume 20, No. 4, 1974, page 23. Extract from Ummocat - No. 4,322 - (thus written by Darnaude): Rafael Farriols bought from Fernando Sesma his large archives of ummite reports. On the other hand, I had an interview with Dr. Antonio Gallego Fernandez, Professor of Physiology at the University of Madrid, who denied being the author of the eight-page letter received on 13-1-67 by 8 members of the Madrid Group [Document No. 140], which is assumed to have been written by a mysterious "Professor of Medicine," a letter that deals with a supposed organic tissue analyzer used on the planet UMMO. Telephone information from Enrique Villagrasa. Given as a note by Darnaude to Osuna on 30-10-72. Quoted in document No. ((D) 4320) Note by Jean Pollion: Alleged letter from Prof. GALLEGO... Received by 8 members of the Madrid Group according to Ummocat. Handwritten mention: 13-1-1967 in handwriting "very similar" to that of Enrique Villagrasa. Photocopy obtained from Ignacio Darnaude. The whole document suggests to me an "anonymous" ummite letter, that is, unsigned and unreclaimed. I note one surprising thing: the text was typed on official letterhead paper of Dr. GALLEGO whose indication was partially masked on the photocopy but under interesting conditions. Indeed, page 3 contains the mark, probably partial (it’s unclear whether it is for private practice or a fragment of his university stamp) but fully legible, and all the other pages bear only a small fraction left after masking but clearly meant to be noticeable. All this leads me to recognize it as a basic piece in psychosociological testing. Questioned by E. Villagrasa, Prof. GALLEGO fiercely denied having written this letter and, considering the content, I tend to believe him. The machine-typed heading number 845 / 1373.
