Letter Ummo 854

Our dear sir, On June 1st of this current year 1967, an incident echoed in the Spanish press and information agencies of European countries. Near kilometer 3 of the Boadilla del Monte road (Madrid), marked by signs of National Heritage property, an aerial vehicle of circular shape landed, which the newspapers refer to as a flying saucer. A few days later, a metalworker and subsequently a lady residing in the village of Santa Monica discovered respectively metal cylinders with a central disc whose dimensions we provide for reference: tube length: 129.8 mm, tube caliber: 8.3 mm, diameter of the central metal disc: 24 millimeters. Two capsules have come into our possession, and we include the photograph and sketch of one of them. (S-E10-1) The exterior appearance is that of a polished aluminum cylinder with rounded ends shaped like a nose cone. Since, according to our references, other neighbors in the area have also found an indeterminate number of these small cylinders, which undoubtedly hold no value for their current owners (aside from undeniable curiosity sparked by their discovery), and given that you have a legally opened establishment in this area of the capital of Spain, we ask you to present this communication to your parishioners and friends. We are willing to offer up to 18,800 pts (EIGHTEEN THOUSAND PESETAS) for each cylinder identical to the model provided to us. In the event that the capsule is damaged or fractured but its internal contents are in good condition, we will discuss new offer conditions with its owner. In exchange for your kindness in advertising this note (a copy has also been delivered to five other establishments), we would offer you a bonus of 7,000 (SEVEN THOUSAND) pesetas for each capsule obtained through your mediation. In a separate note, I will provide the name of our secretary and the address to which you must urgently address yourself in case of possession of credible information regarding this matter. I ask you to refrain from contacting us if you do not actually receive an offer of this nature. Our interest is purely scientific. The aforementioned capsules contain no devices of financial, military, etc., interest, except, we repeat, authentically technical ones. Our activities are limited to the study of the so-called UFOs (UNIDENTIFIED AERIAL OBJECTS) popularly referred to in this nation as flying saucers. (S-E10-2) If, in the past, individuals who found these capsules delivered them to other private or state groups, we also ask you to inform us about their fate. While awaiting your kind information, I extend my warmest regards. HENRI DAGOUSSET 853 / 1373
