"Ummo Letter 913"

Mr. Enrique Villagrasa M A D R I D January 13, 1967 Dear Sir, You will certainly remember me since not long ago I wrote you a letter (Translator's note: This is E31/D3216) concerning the case of the Gentlemen who are here from the planet Ummo. So: in conclusion, I addressed myself to this Gentleman I had told you about in my letter, who is precisely a full professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Madrid, because I believe he has more authority to study the matter. He, at first, agreed to the meeting although he claims that I gave you a list of the names of the people to whom they write. Now you will understand that I cannot [do so] until their Director, who left in December of last year, returns. However, he gave me the idea to write you this letter which I send, making copies of it and asking me to personally take charge of delivering them myself since I am the one who knows where many of you live. Certainly with all due respect inspired in me by this gentleman, and although I admit that as a doctor and a professor he knows much more than I do, and naturally I cannot compare myself in culture, I repeat that I disagree with him on many things, although I also acknowledge that on others I have no objections and that I totally agree. In itself, there would be some confusion with this matter now if it came out that this gentleman said he was not certain that these gentlemen come from Ummo. I admit that at first I thought so too, and so if they say it to a person coldly, they would think they were crazy as happened with me or that they are playing a bad joke. It even seems natural to me that a person, because they are called by phone and they say many things of great culture and erudition, would not believe such a fantastic thing, and we know a lot of things, especially we Spaniards who are difficult to deceive. But what I already observe at this hour is that these men are extraordinary. I have seen two of their devices which are in a certain way extraordinary. I have seen a small sphere like steel with 3 holes move and remain motionless in the air as if guided by radio and my wife can testify that a conversation which took place in privacy was listened to by them. / Someone try to tell me that I 911 / 1373 I saw, along with my wife, some fantastic photographs that depicted an anatomical part of the human body in all colors and relief / I also have as a witness a gentleman from Madrid, with whom I was sent by their order without even knowing who they were or where they came from. And I remember vividly that this gentleman, whose name escapes me but whose address might be the one where they send many letters (1), showed these photos to his acquaintances. I could lie, but we all won't come to an agreement. The professor (Note: It can only be Professor Gallego) himself acknowledges that they sent him a device that I have not seen but that I personally returned in a box to these gentlemen from Ummo, and I wholeheartedly believe this after the things I have seen and heard. So, what more evidence does this gentleman want? Either I am mentally challenged, or I do not understand what he thinks of them. On one hand, he says that he does not believe they are from a Planet Ummo since their way of dressing, their faces, and hands are like those of Earth, but then he claims he eliminates the possibility that they are pranksters, lunatics, or a spy organization. He should logically tell us what they are if they are none of those things....! (Note: The underline is original handwritten, as is the exclamation point) On the other hand, he admits that his colleague from North America believes in them, and I’ve seen the correspondence he maintained with him and his translations from English to Spanish. Is this specialist doctor (Note: Reference to a paragraph from letter D140 (TP37j) Gallego, hence the skeptical professor mentioned by the typist is Prof Gallego) also going to be deceived? I believe it's best to call a spade a spade! The bread is bread and the wine is wine! And to stop surrounding [the issue] with precautions to avoid admitting what is as clear as high-altitude water. For me, what finally convinced me was the fact of the Flying Saucer in Aluche that descended in this suburb of Madrid. I had seen their anagram long before which is like this (S-E30-1) So. The press and a book titled (The Enigma of Flying Saucers) authored by a certain Antonio Ribera have published the account of the facts, and witnesses saw this same anagram. If you attempt to weave all this evidence together, you will recognize that it is too strong to think that all this would be a joke, a fraud, or the work of some crazies. This would happen to you if you had heard them speak or upon receiving their writings, they would immediately tell you that you made them up and that you wrote the letter and that you are crazy. For that reason, the best before others is to remain silent, for in doing so, one emerges a loser. That is what I do. So now what I do not understand is my wife's skepticism and that of Professor. My wife has seen them and has witnessed amazing things, and no one has pulled her out of her mania that they are spies, and I know that. But at least she does not have the education of a doctor professor. What additional evidence would this gentleman want after what they have provided....? As for any evidence to doubt that they come from Ummo, he says that it is not possible for them to come from there, which is 14 light years away, in just a few months. It is clear that since he has only spoken with them about medicine, he will be informed! I, who without such knowledge had the humility to ask them, they provided a satisfactory explanation that does not contradict Einstein's theories. He says he did not seek to ask them "not to make them noticeable"!!! While I asked them, and they explained things to me!!! They will not be long in returning. And here in Madrid, there are two others I already know but who have only written one letter. The fact is that this professor ultimately acknowledges he was also not sure they were not from Ummo. So where do we stand? I say that the most logical is, BELIEVE or NOT BELIEVE, but it is not to commit and that is very convenient. Then if all this turns out to be false, one can say it. What I cannot do, for moral reasons, is to continue giving names until they authorize me to do so.
