← Back to lettersUmmo - Luis Jiménez Marhuenda?
Luis - Due to hearing difficulties, he insists, repeats, reiterates the question. I think it’s a prank and I say so: It’s very badly done. You imitate them very poorly. (The question is repeated several times insistently. Despite everything, I decide to record the conversation, just to try to uncover the hoax.)
U - Mr. Aguirre will receive a letter. (I had done a test conversation before recording which I do not remember, although it was nothing important. I begin to convince myself of the possibility that it is real. I ask his name.)
U - My name is (something like) OUA 5 son of OUA 2. We will send a letter to Juan Aguirre. It will contain a yellow strip sealed with the mark or stamp of UMMO.
L - They will send me a letter containing a yellow strip marked with something special (I say this to check if he knows what it will be).
U - Yes. Radioactivity.
L - Is the letter received from Manchuria false?
U - It is false.
L - Who wrote it?
U - We do not know.
L - I would like to talk more extensively with you. On another occasion, I spoke with one of your brothers (I refer to the call received at my house in San Vicente de Raspeig in April 1980). Was that you or someone else?
U - It was not me.
L - When do you promise me a personal contact?
U - Harmful to you.
L - Why?
U. Line on listen. (I can hear poorly)
L. Why?
U. Agents.
L. But do they think you are extraterrestrials?
U. They think we are RUSSIANS.
L. They will suspect something one day.
U. It doesn't matter much.
L. Do you know anything about Farriols?
U. Your brother Farriols is good.
L. Why call me and not call Farriols?
U. We cannot call him.
L. I believe I am the most modest of all, the last to enter this matter.
U. That is not the criterion.
L. I believe I deserve less than others to be called.
U. We... (incomprehensible continuation)... harmful to him. (R.F. I assume they say not to call me to avoid provoking a situation that could indirectly harm me)
L. What do you think of the letter that talks about the attack in Austria in which your brothers were victims?
U. It is authentic. ... (?)
L. Yet the group in Madrid thinks otherwise.
U. It is. (R.F. A few months later, Antonio Ribera, who had received the letter in question, told me he had a phone conversation with a young woman from Alicante who claimed to be the AUTHOR of this letter. In fact, she claimed to be the "daughter" of an Ummite, and that her mother was EARTHLY. Furthermore, the characteristic UMMITE seal, stamped on the letters written from Spain in purple, appeared on this letter distorted and blurred. I had thought myself that the origin was fraudulent).
L. There are external connotations, doubts arise. What proof could we have to thwart the fakes?
U. The current machine is easily recognizable. The typography has deformations... (inaudible continuation, I assume he said it was the machine used for the first letters to Sesma. Then he told me the principle of the conversation that should not be recorded)... Moreover... the yellow stripe.
L. Did you record the conversation you had some time ago with Juan Aguirre and me... and later with Rafael Farriols?
U. We recorded the one with Farriols and Barrenechea... (he also says something like they will discuss and inform us about the next meeting. They do not say the date over the phone).
L. (Insisting) Do you have the communication between Aguirre and me, where we talk about you? (I insist on this question because some time ago Aguirre and I reached a conclusion over the phone: could they have neglected to write to us? Could they have forgotten us? They could do many things, but there is something unique to us that they could not interfere with: that we stop admiring them. The affection we have reserved for them is something they will not take away from us. Both Aguirre and I have greatly sublimated this aspect. Hence my insistence on knowing if he listened to that conversation.)
U. It was not possible to capture that conversation.
L. Did you listen to the conversation between Farriols and me? (I insist on it because Farriols participated in the previous one, spoke of my conversation with Aguirre, and shows the same emphasis in admiring them.)
U. We do not listen to all conversations.
L. Had you returned to your planet?
U. No. We were on OYAGAA.
L. In which country?
U. I cannot say.
L. (I insist again on the conversation between Aguirre and Farriols about the one he mentioned earlier) Aguirre and I had a conversation and then also with Farriols, and we were worried about not knowing anything about you. We thought that perhaps you had returned to your planet or, worst case, that you were no longer interested in us...
U. (First part unintelligible)... you were upset by our fault. (He repeats "by our fault" and seems to express sorrow in his words.)
L. I do not remember being upset. On the contrary.
U. No. They are not doing very well.
L. But no, I am very well with everyone.
U. But among them, there have been upsets.
L. Your friendship has greatly enriched us.
U. (Unintelligible)
L. The pain of some small insignificant upset is worth it in compensation for all that you have brought us.
U. We have disturbed your peace.
L. You do not disturb the peace! On the contrary, you have given us great peace, great harmony.
U. Not to others.
L. Juan Domínguez wrote a book about you. What is your opinion?
U. Excellent.
L. Did that bother you?
U. (Inintelligible)
L. What is your opinion of Father López Guerrero? He is my friend and presents arguments that do not always agree with yours.
U. That is natural.
L. Among the areas that separate him from you are the Devil and Parapsychology. What is your opinion of the Devil?
U. The Devil does not exist.
L. I think he does.
U. He does not exist.
L. But the forces of evil do exist. The Popes have said that the Devil exists. Yes.
U. He does not exist.
L. I believe he does. I have the right to think so, and I believe he does. (Here, he speaks of the freedom of thought that every person should have and also says something like an encouragement to maintain my independence of choice.)
L. Could you have any study or proof of the non-existence of the Devil?
U. That which does not exist cannot be demonstrated.
L. And Saliano? Does he exist?
U. Yes.
L. Is he an extraterrestrial?
U. We have had contacts with him.
L. What is your opinion of him?
U. Bad.
L. Is he an extraterrestrial?
U. Generic name.
L. I have some questions now, unexpectedly.
U. Think before asking them... that they are not recorded.
L. My questions are moral and philosophical in nature. ... You know my works sent to everyone in the group.
U. Yes.
L. What is your opinion?
U. Very noble.
L. What I say, is it certain?
U. Partly yes, partly no. (The rest unintelligible)
L. What is the ambiguous part?
U. I cannot answer.
L. Can you tell me by letter?
U. You must be free to think.
L. But I would like to take advantage of what you say.
U. (Unintelligible: he says something like "obedience").
L. It is not about obedience!
U. We must not give you orders.
L. But we can respect what you say... take into account what you tell us.
U. Under your responsibility.
L. We consider you dear friends, and you cannot prevent our affection.
U. That's correct. We have feelings for you... (continuation unintelligible).
L. Thank you very much. It must be so because during a live conversation I heard something I don't remember, but it must be a demonstration of affection towards us. In any case, you say that you can do nothing for our humanity.
U. We cannot disturb it... (Unintelligible. You must listen to it live and not record it at all. He surely refers to a disagreement between us because I remember that he repeats once more "because of our fault". Certainly UMMOAELEWE insisted a lot: they must not allow disagreements between us to arise, motivated by their presence. Something I don't remember and that isn't heard on the tape but which made me respond):
L. But there is much time of this... (Here he talks about Ribera, his book, etc.)
U. Good person (he is talking about Ribera) he did not pretend to do us harm.
L. Obviously. On the contrary. Another thing. We would like to welcome you to my house, accept you as friends... (I believe he replies that "to us as well as..." and the rest is not audible.) Don't you think that in any form our friendship will be stronger by contacting each other?
U. It is impossible at the moment.
L. Is it due to the orders you receive from UMMOAELEWE?
U. (Inaudible response)
L. I believe that one day we will be able to have a personal conversation.
U. One day.
L. I would like to give you a hug with a lot of affection.
U. We would like to receive a manuscript from you... from all the... (unintelligible) for the museum of Oyagaa. (Here he gives the list sent in the letter received later).
PERSONAL NOTE: These old notes were derived from the preserved recording. But not the entire conversation has been kept. The tape is interrupted, there are pauses, the beginning of the conversation has not been recorded, etc. It pains me to listen to it as many passages were not transcribed due to recording issues. However, from the unrecorded part, I remember the following details. He asks me not to record when he calls me back. Of course, I will fulfill his request even though I ask him to allow me to record just for reference purposes. It seems he does not want his recording or their voices to be heard by others. I erased the tape once I listened to it thoroughly until I could no longer decipher anything further. My wife was listening on the other phone and left the receiver on the tape recorder. Perhaps the phone's power decreased by holding both lines open, or maybe she (my wife) put the microphone end instead of the speaker end. He told me something more about our freedom and independence of judgment, so I replied that, using this freedom, I disagreed with his opinion that they would be harmful to us. He insists that I reflect on my questions and invites me to ask him about what interests me. My nerves will play a trick on me, and I fear I will seem foolish or inept, as it is evident that I did not shine much. However, recalling the questions sent to me by some friends when in 1980 I hoped for a personal contact, I brought up one that I believe was from Farriols, because I think the topic interests us all: What is there after death? Is there heaven or hell as religion says? He tells me it was the same but not as we imagined. When I asked about contacts with the dead, he told me they did not exist. Regarding spiritualism, he said it was a hoax, stating that after life no contact could be made. When I asked if Catholicism was the most authentic religion, his answer was Christianity. I also remember that when I mentioned Farriols, he told me he was the most devoted of my friends. I believe he used that adjective. I can't recall anything else. In our next conversation, if he allows me to record (it’s not an issue of obedience but of friendly courtesy) I will ask him to repeat all his words so they are well recorded. As seen in this transcription, there are many “I” references, which are clearer since my voice is obviously the most perceived. Then, conversing with my wife and son, I remembered other things. While talking with my son, I recall that when I asked if he could listen to conversations through another phone, he said yes. Regarding him, since ultimately it was about my son whose studies concern me and everything else, he said: "He must study a lot. Men should study, that's what they are made for." He expects that my son will begin to dedicate himself to books and reaffirms his idea of studying philosophy and letters, journalism, radio, and everything that pertains to human communication. To be continued. I am preparing a set of questions to ask if he calls back. Many with your collaboration. I hope next time will be less disappointing than today. A hug.
